sigmatel major c audo update error

Every time i try to install this update it gives error code 80070002 Please help I have no sound and dell will not provde the driver because i am out of warranty.

I am also having the same problem. I have tried disabling all audio services, as well as the device itself but to no avail. Even attempting to update the driver through the Device Manager does not work around the problem.

Update: Reinstalled original driver with the system, rebooted, then the update worked. However, I still hear nothing. T_T
